Bruce Carter Another great BandCamp powerpop Christmas song. It takes big holly berries to write a new tune to a classic carol but Pacific Gold has pulled it off. All good. Favorite track: The Holly & The Ivy.

about

Picking up where they left off with July's EP "The River", Wayfarer continue to "repurpose" old hymns: taking lyric sets from old, sometimes forgotten hymns, and writing entirely new music to them. "The Holly & the Ivy" is the band's first re-written Christmas carol, paired here with their cover of the mid-career wintry Beach Boys love song "Time To Get Alone". Also included is their live in-studio acoustic take on "Holly", recorded for the RELEVANT Magazine Podcast.
